*not* work. Won't play youtube videos. Firefox works fine.<br>

It's a Chromecast projector device, so I thought using chromium
might give me an in, but chromium will not play youtube videos,
so that was a dead end. So sad.<br>

Got it working through an android phone, though, so will not
worry about it. My kids just had a baby, so we're watching their
house while they are in the hospital. No TV here, just the
projector.<br>

Hmm, I primarily use Chromium (it works). I booted up an old
machine having Mint LMDE 'Betsy' (debian Jessie) + Firefox at
v63: Youtube works.<br>
Can only guess you may be missing some non-free (not
open-source) packages necessary to play the videos.<br>

Will probably need more info about the TV side:<br>
It is probably some sort of 'streaming stick' (chromecast, Roku,
Fire-TV, etc.).<br>
It may be baked into the TV software, or be a small device with
HDMI output connected to TV or projector.<br>
Some have a iOS / Android App published by the device
manufacture designed to stream from phone to TV.<br>
And perhaps (most likely Google Chrome -> Chromecast) from a
browser on Windows or Mac to a the TV.<br>

An Internet search for [ chromecast linux firefox ] did turn up
some results, but I've not vetted nor tried any of them.<br>
And of course, you might be working with a different streaming
device.<br>

all, says the browser doesn't recognize the video formats,
