[WLUG] Does Hard Drive's Firmware need to be transfered?

Hello All

Just got a new Hard Drive for my HP G60t-200 Lap top.  Will the new Hard
 Drive's Firmware need to be transfered?   The new Hard Drive model 
number is: WD1600-BEVT- 60ZCT10.  Same Model as origional Hard Drive
